Police: Woman passed fake gaming vouchers for cash at Hilltown bar
A Philadelphia woman is facing felony charges after police said she used fraudulent gaming vouchers to obtain cash at a Hilltown Township bar.
Amanda Marie Fox, 31, of the 200 block of Nauldo Road, was charged April 30 with two felony counts of forgery, felony conspiracy to commit forgery, and misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property, and associated conspiracy charges, stemming from an incident at the Lucky Dog Bar & Grill along Bethlehem Pike near Telford.
According to the affidavit, Hilltown Police were called to the bar on Feb. 4, 2026 after the owner reported a fraud that had occurred the previous evening. Surveillance video reviewed by investigators allegedly showed Fox entering the bar on Feb. 3, ordering a drink and then playing “skills” gaming machines before receiving a legitimate $1 voucher.
Police allege Fox then used her cellphone to photograph the voucher and continued playing the machines while referencing her phone. A short time later, a male co-defendant — identified as Jesse John Dougherty, of the 3700 block of President Street, Philadelphia — entered the bar and handed Fox slips of paper believed to be fraudulent vouchers, investigators said.
Fox then presented two vouchers, each appearing to be worth $200, to the bartender and received a total of $400 in cash, according to police. The pair later returned to the machines before cashing out an additional legitimate voucher and leaving together in a black Jeep Compass, authorities said.
Investigators determined the vouchers were counterfeit, noting differences in color and printing compared to authentic tickets. Through surveillance review and investigative tools, police identified Fox and Dougherty as the individuals involved in the scheme.
Dougherty was also named as a co-defendant in the case.
