New look coming to CBSD.org
Dear CBSD Community,
We’re excited to share that a new look is coming to the CBSD website in early August! The updated design enhances some of the site’s features and functionality while keeping the location and layout of most of the information the same. The update is also happening because our website provider, Finalsite, is retiring our current content management system (CMS) and moving the district’s site to a new management platform. The CMS is the internal “behind-the-scenes” system that employees use to create and add information to the site.
Among other enhancements, the refreshed look includes:
- Navigation and search improvements
- Easier access to calendars and event information
- Improved accessibility and translatability
- Greater content and design consistency across district and school webpages
While we look forward to the updated site, our work on the website is ongoing. We will continue to review the site’s content, consistency, and organization throughout next school year and make improvements and adjustments based on best practices, website data, and the informational and accessibility needs of our community. When the refreshed site goes live, we will also ask for feedback via an online form and include community input into our future website content decisions and strategy.
