Juvenile charged in Council Rock swatting incident
A juvenile is being charged in connection with a “swatting” incident that forced a Bucks County high school into lockdown on the afternoon of Oct. 1, 2025, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Northampton Township Police Department announced today.
The incident prompted a massive police response and significant disruption across the Council Rock School District.
The incident began at 1:42 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2025, when Bucks County Emergency Services received an anonymous 911 call alleging a crisis at Council Rock South High School. The call immediately triggered a lockdown of the school.
Northampton Township Police, Council Rock security, and district administration immediately responded to the scene. Newtown Township Police and Lower Southampton Township Police also provided assistance.
