Warminster Township to host public input session for Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan update

WARMINSTER, PA — Make your voice heard and help shape the future of Warminster Parks and Recreation!

Warminster Township invites residents to participate in a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan Update Public Input Session on Tuesday, September 16, at 6:00 pm at the Warminster Township Administrative Building, 401 Gibson Avenue.

This in-person meeting will include a presentation of the plan’s development to date, followed by opportunities for public comment. Your feedback is vital as the Township works to shape the future of its parks and recreation services.

The Township’s current Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan was last updated and adopted in 2011. Updated plans are essential for guiding development, maintenance, and facility replacement to ensure Warminster’s parks and recreation amenities continue to meet community needs.

In addition to the public meeting, a community survey will be available both online and in paper format from September 16 through October 4.  Residents can access the online survey beginning at 8:00 am on September 16 via the Warminster Township website or pick up a paper copy at designated Township locations or at the Annual Warminster Day and Touch a Truck Celebration scheduled for September 27 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at Warminster Community Park.

“Community involvement is key to building a parks and recreation system that reflects the priorities of our residents,” said Ken Hayes, Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors.  “We encourage everyone to participate – whether in person at the meeting or through the survey.”
