Warminster Township awarded $10,000 PECO Green Region Grant to plant trees in Kemper Park
Warminster, PA – Warminster Township Parks and Recreation is proud to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 PECO Green Region Grant to support the planting of new trees in Kemper Park. The tree planting project will take place in the meadow area located at the corner of Sinkler and Valley Roads, with completion expected in Fall 2025.
The grant, awarded through PECO’s Green Region Open Space Program in partnership with Natural Lands, supports municipal efforts to preserve and improve open space, enhance green areas, and promote environmental stewardship throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.
“We are thrilled to receive this generous grant from PECO and Natural Lands,” said Jessica Fox, Director of Warminster Parks and Recreation. “This funding will help us further our mission of enhancing our parks and natural areas while improving the environmental health and beauty of our community.”
The planned tree planting in Kemper Park will contribute to local ecological benefits such as improved air quality, increased wildlife habitat, and natural stormwater management. The project will also support Warminster’s long-term sustainability goals and provide shade and visual appeal for park visitors.
