Warminster Police Department promotes two officers
(WARMINSTER, Pa.) The Warminster Township Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that Corporal Chad Vargo of the Warminster Township Police Department has been promoted to Sergeant and Officer Meghan Wheatley has been promoted to Corporal, where she will assist Corporal Outland with C Squad. They were sworn in by the Hon. Christoper E. O’Neill, Magisterial Judge, Bucks County at the February 5 Warminster Township Supervisor’s meeting, accompanied by family members.
Vargo attended West Chester University and prior to joining the Warminster Police Department in July 2009, he served as a police officer with the Coatesville and South Heidelberg Township Police Departments. During his tenure with Warminster Police Department, Vargo has worked as a Central Bucks Special Response Team crime scene investigator, a CPR and first aid instructor, and a firearms instructor. Vargo is also a member of the Bucks County Major Incident Response Team (MIRT). He is married with two children.
Wheatley grew up in Springfield and attended Springfield Township High School. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in political science. She attended Montgomery County Community College Police Academy, and upon graduation, was hired by the Warminster Police Department in August of 2019. Wheatley is a Field Training officer and Defensive Tactics instructor, and recently completed her first class in the trilogy of the FBI-LEEDA Supervisory Leadership Institute in Bucks County.
