Continuing an investigation that began during Senate budget hearings earlier this year with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and State Police, Coleman convened the hearing after receiving incomplete and vague responses to multiple written inquiries over the last several months.

The senator’s bill would prohibit an application, software or other technology, which is configured to prevent the maintaining or preserving of a record as required by law, from being installed or accessed on state and local government-owned devices.
