New prosecutors, detective take oath for Bucks County DA’s office

Yesterday, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office celebrated the swearing-in of four new Assistant District Attorneys and one new County Detective. The ceremony was filled with powerful remarks on the commitment and mission of public service from District Attorney Jennifer Schorn and Common Pleas Judge Matthew D. Weintraub.

District Attorney Schorn introduced each new member, highlighting their impressive backgrounds and the high standards of the office.Detective Jack Agnew was praised for his outstanding background, which includes his experience with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Agnew has been working with Bucks County Detectives on previous cases, including one where detectives dismantled a bicoastal drug trafficking organization that shipped millions of dollars in deadly drugs from Los Angeles to Bucks County and surrounding areas. “I can’t be more pleased to have you on board,” Schorn said.Introducing the new ADAs, the DA highlighted their shared dedication:

  • Sara Hammond was welcomed back after serving as a prosecutor in Florida, handling complex felony cases, noting that she specifically sought out the Bucks County office upon returning to the area.Gabrielle Cohen joined the office after graduating from Drexel Law with outstanding pro bono honors, impressing the interview team with her commitment to public service and her entrepreneurial spirit.Lorena Pavon was recognized for her pro bono distinction from Widener University, Delaware School of Law, and was celebrated as a valuable “steal” from a neighboring county’s intern program.Victoria Pollock was celebrated as a Bucks County legacy, having previously worked as a legal secretary in the office before attending law school. She earned continuous praise from District Judges during her Certified Legal Intern service, underscoring her commitment and excellence.
