Middletown man claims “citizen’s arrest” led to father’s beheading
A Middletown Township man accused of a grisly killing took the stand Wednesday in his own defense, delivering chilling testimony in a high-profile murder case. Justin Mohn, 33, is on trial for the January 30 murder of his father, Michael Mohn, a 68-year-old U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employee. Prosecutors allege Mohn shot his father inside the family’s home and then decapitated him in a bathroom. On the stand, Mohn claimed the act was part of “Plan B,” saying he attempted a “citizen’s arrest” of his father for alleged treason. He testified that when his father resisted, he escalated to deadly force. Mohn fled the scene and was arrested later that day after scaling a fence at Fort Indiantown Gap, where he says he sought military support to “overthrow the U.S. government.” The bench trial continues Thursday.

Levittown woman pleads guilty in husband’s shooting death
A Levittown woman has pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in the 2023 shooting death of her husband at the Bristol Borough Wharf.
