Middle Bucks Institute of Technology launches Education Foundation and Alumni Association to support student success
Jamison, PA — Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) has launched a new Education Foundation and Alumni Association designed to strengthen student success through scholarships, mentorship, and modern classroom resources. The dual initiatives aim to engage the community, alumni, and business partners in shaping the future of career and technical education in Bucks County.
The newly formed MBIT Education Foundation will focus on four core priorities:
- Financial Aid to remove barriers for students pursuing career training
- Career Readiness and Mentorship through business partnerships and internships
- Up-to-Date Equipment and Technology to ensure real-world learning
- Support for Teachers and Classrooms with tools and resources that foster innovation
“Career and technical education changes lives, but only when students have the support and access they need,” said Dr. Mark Covelle, Administrative Director of MBIT. “The Education Foundation allows us to continue to invest in the kind of learning experiences that truly prepare students for future success.”
MBIT also announced the creation of the MBIT Alumni Association, which will serve as a way for graduates to reconnect, give back, and mentor current students. To celebrate the launch, MBIT will host its first Alumni Association Kick-Off Event on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on the school’s campus in Jamison. Spouses of alumni and supporters of MBIT are also welcome. Tickets are $40 per person.
The launch comes on the heels of a record-breaking school year: in June, MBIT graduated the largest class in its history, it’s largest Honor Society class in history, and the school has expanded its Electrical Technology and Welding programs to meet the increasing student demand.
“We’re building a legacy, one that will benefit students for generations to come,” said Covelle. “Even if someone can’t attend the event, they can still contribute to this mission by engaging in the Alumni Association or contributing to the Foundation. Every gift, large or small, helps us open doors and shape a stronger workforce for our region.”
