May 20: Help Support Our Full-Day Kindergarten Classrooms!
Dear CBSD Community,
We continue to plan for our pioneer year of full-day kindergarten in 2025-26 with much excitement! From creating curriculum and materials to providing professional development to building out a full-day schedule, work is underway to make our full-day program a success next year and when it launches districtwide in 2026-27.
We write to offer our families and community members a chance to contribute to this success. We know many of you may have new or gently used items you may be willing to donate to help make our full-day kindergarten classrooms even more engaging and enriching environments for young learners.
We invite you to donate new or gently used plastic or wooden items that support hands-on learning and play, such as:
- Building blocks (LEGO, Magnetic tiles, or similar)
- Play food or kitchen items
- Educational manipulatives (counting cubes, puzzles, etc.)
- Containers or storage bins
If you would like to contribute, please feel free to drop off donations on Tuesday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the district’s Operations Center at 320 W. Swamp Road in Doylestown. In addition, our elementary schools will offer collections at their buildings in the coming weeks. The dates and times for these collections will be communicated by each individual elementary school.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support — it makes a difference in our children’s lives and their future. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
Sincerely,
Christina Adelberger
