Man sentenced to 6-12 years for statutory sexual assault of Quakertown girl
A Philadelphia man was sentenced Tuesday to serve 6 to 12 years in state prison followed by decades of court-ordered supervision for the repeated sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Quakertown.
Rodney Bass, 36, was sentenced Tuesday by Common Pleas Judge Charissa J. Liller. He pleaded guilty in September to statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16.
In addition to the state prison sentence, Liller sentenced Bass to 28 years of probation, resulting in a 40-year period of total supervision.
Judge Liller also ordered Bass to comply with Tier 3 Sex Offender, requiring him to register as a sex offender for his lifetime.
