Jennifer Bubser will become principal of Quakertown Elementary School
Quakertown, Pennsylvania, May 16, 2025 – With only a few weeks remaining in the 2024-2025 school year, our district team has been working hard to get ready for next year. As our schools’ needs change, so do the teams that lead them. We are excited to announce that the Quakertown Community School District will be making a few administrative changes for the 2025-2026 school year that will not only strengthen our district but will ensure the best possible academic experience for our students.
Starting July 1, 2025, Dr. Jennifer Bubser will become principal of Quakertown Elementary School. For seven of her 27 years with the QCSD, Dr. Bubser has served as the principal of Strayer Middle School. As a gifted educator, she taught at Neidig Elementary and coached track and field at Milford Middle School and the Quakertown Community High School. Brought up in Quakertown, she’s proud to have a family of Panthers; both she, her husband, and their children are Quakertown Panthers. She is the ideal candidate to lead our Quakertown Elementary students, faculty, and families into the future. Additionally, Ms. Krista McGowan will move to Quakertown Elementary to serve as Dr. Bubser’s Secretary. Before being promoted to Quakertown Community High School, where she worked as the Administrative Assistant for the 10th Grade House, Ms. McGowan began her career with the district in 2023 as an Attendance Secretary at Strayer Middle School.
In addition, Ms. MacKenzie Baver, currently the Secretary at Quakertown Elementary, will be transitioning to the Assistant Principal Secretary at the High School, replacing Ms. McGowan. Not only was Ms. Baver a K-12 QCSD student, but she also worked for the district for 15 years (12 years as an instructional assistant, and the last 3 years as Secretary at Quakertown Elementary).
Also starting July 1, 2025, Mr. Adam Dinney, currently an Assistant Principal at the Quakertown Community High School, will become the House Principal of the Sixth Grade Center. Mr. Dinney has worked at the High School for the last 6 years, and 12 years prior at the Allentown School District. Mr. Dinney received his Master’s in Education Leadership from Lehigh University, and is about to receive his Educational Doctorate at Immaculata University. He’s deeply excited to lead the Sixth Grade Center, and we are thrilled to have him in this role. Ms. Helen Conroy, currently the Assistant Principal for the Academy/Aspire Programs, will move into the role of High School Assistant Principal, replacing Mr. Dinney.
We will also see new leadership at the Academy/Aspire Programs and QCSD Cyber Programs. The Academy/Aspire Programs and Cyber Programs Assistant Principal will be Mr. Juan Soto, who is currently the Dean of Students at Quakertown Community High School. Mr. Soto is also no stranger to the QCSD, having spent ten of his eighteen years in education with the QCSD. To replace Mr. Soto, our team is currently creating a new role.
When asked why the district team is making these moves, Dr. Matthew Friedman, Superintendent of Schools, said, “High-achieving school districts are always forward-thinking and position themselves to evolve, just like people. To meet the needs of all of our learners and best prepare them for future success, we must adapt. As a district, we are incredibly fortunate to have staff who want to evolve and move in those directions, become the leaders for those school communities, and move us all in that exciting direction. A direction toward positivity, community, and growth. While I know change can be hard for some, we are all serving the same mission – to give the students of Quakertown the best education and academic experience possible to create not just successful communities but happy ones.”
The work doesn’t stop here. Throughout the summer months, the QCSD team will continue to work to support all our schools, educators, and staff to ensure a great 2025-2026 school year. We are excited for new beginnings and proud to have positioned leadership, where their skills and abilities will support the academic growth of our teachers and students and create a positive environment for our students, families, and staff.
