Centennial School District, Warminster, Upper Southampton, and Ivyland Police Departments to launch a partnership with Bus Patrol
WARMINSTER, PA – January 9, 2026 – In February 2026, Centennial School District, Warminster, Upper Southampton, and Ivyland Police Departments will launch a partnership with Bus Patrol, a school bus safety program in line with PA Motor Vehicle Code § 3345.1.
A fleet of 65 district buses has been modernized with advanced safety technology, including photo enforcement cameras to detect vehicles that illegally pass stopped school buses. This initiative aims to reduce dangerous driving behavior and enhance student safety. According to the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS), school buses are estimated to unlawfully pass more than 45.2 million times each school year in the United States.
“At Centennial School District, student safety is at the heart of everything we do. Our partnership with BusPatrol helps protect children as they get on and off the bus and reinforces the importance of safe driving in our community,” said Jim Wertman, Director of Operations.
