Bucks GOP endorsement prevails in judge primary
Lawyers Grace Deon, Chelsey Crocker Jackman, Colin Monahan, and Joe Pizzo won the GOP nod for four Bucks County judge seats in yesterday’s primary. Endorsed by the Bucks County Republican Committee, their slate beat Magisterial District Judge Gary Gambardella’s insurgent bid for a spot on the Court of Common Pleas. The Republican nominees will face Democrats Linda Bobrin, Dawn DiDonato Burke, Amy Fitzpatrick, and Tiffany Thomas-Smith this fall.

Metzger to face Loteckie in Falls
In Falls Township, Democrats picked Waste Management welder Tim Loteckie over former municipal employee Jason Lawson to run for supervisor. Incumbent Democrat Jeff Boraski declined to seek reelection. Boraski, who failed to file numerous campaign finance reports, obscuring at least $27,850 in donations from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, supported Loteckie. The nominee will face Jennifer Metzger, who beat three-time supervisor candidate Joan Graves in the GOP primary.

Bristol’s Ralph DiGuiseppe unseated
A few miles southwest, former judge and police chief Frank Peranteau won the Bristol Borough Democratic mayoral primary, unseating incumbent Ralph DiGuiseppe III. A tally of Republican write-ins will determine Peranteau’s rival this autumn. DiGuiseppe’s father, also named Ralph, was meanwhile nominated without opposition for reelection to Borough Council in the South Ward. All county primary returns can be seen on Bucks’s election-results webpage.

Editor’s note: This article was updated to reflect that Bristol Borough Mayor Ralph DiGuiseppe’s father was nominated for reelection to Borough Council.
