Bucks County authorities launch homicide investigation following discovery of Telford woman

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, in conjunction with the Telford Borough Police Department, officially confirmed today that the death of a 23-year-old woman discovered last weekend is being investigated as a homicide.

On the morning of Sunday, March 15, 2026, Telford Borough Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive individual at an apartment located in the 100 block of Main Street, which is on the Bucks County side of the borough.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of Maria Popol, 23, of Telford. The victim’s next of kin have been notified.

Following an autopsy conducted earlier this week, the Bucks County Coroner’s Office has formally ruled the manner of death a homicide.
